“Fearless Pencil” is the name. And there will be three categories of time-lapsed videos posted onto this channel (for now;)
1. How to draw “Faces” are a class of videos that cover sketches of various facial expressions, hairstyles and different head types drawn at different angles...
2. How to draw “Anatomy” are a series of videos that will show different aspects and poses of the human form. (Some videos will cover creating stick figures, 3d “body-suits”, skin, muscles, or hands, feet, etc...)
And from time to time we will post
3. How to draw “The Essentials” (Which will cover multiple sketches of the same pose or face but drawn using different methods and placing them side by side so that you can make a comparison. Because each approach has its own pros and cons.)
The intention of this channel is to give you all a look into the process. we intend to post at least one time-lapsed video tutorial a day and will alternate from time to time between content focusing on faces and anatomy. This way you all can concentrate on whichever category interests you most. Hopefully you will get inspired to take on new methods when tackling your own work.
The sketching processes used are not consistent throughout every video, because there is no such thing as a one method fits all when it comes to drawing. And its important to branch out and try different methods of anatomical and facial construction because doing so will help you to grow as an artist. Also, its important to show the ”rough” process, and there are even times when art is erased and the foundation of a drawing is completely changed because thats one massive part in overcoming the fear of drawing: the willingness to adjust and do whatever is needed until you are satisfied with your work.
These videos offer a window into the methods used, but detailed explanations can be found in the books... Later, after the books are completed we may offer more in terms of tutorial breakdowns and voice-overs but for now we hope that this will be something you all can appreciate.
we hope that you all will get inspired to create your own art after watching these videos. Don’t worry if you have a feeling that the variety in content is a bit underwhelming, because remember this is only the beginning! And as the days progress into weeks and months we will cover a lot of ground in terms of art creation. You will have a catolog of over 365 tutorials to go through by the end of this year.
Hit subscribe and spread the word!
We will update you all again as progress with completing the books continues.
And dont forget to fill out your survey if you havent done so already!
Until next time and Thank you all again for supporting this project.
